All-day school (including Hort / holiday care)
School with full-day offer
In order to successfully implement our pedagogy, we are a full-time school. This requires the presence of students from 8:30 to 16:00.
Full day care
The Hort care for the schoolchildren starts in the morning at 7.30 am and extends on all school days until 18:00 pm.
From 8:30 am to 14:00 pm (classes 1-3) and until 15:00 pm (classes 4-6) standard curriculum lessons are taught. On Fridays the lessons finish at 14:00 pm for all students.
Between 14:00 pm and 16:00 pm we offer special education programs which include swimming and forest education, extra English and German classes and various art and music activities.
Varied afternoon and holiday program
In the framework of all-day education and care, we provide our students with a varied programme of activities in the after school and holidays. Children who prefer not to take part in the AGs can play, paint, read or relax in our Hort.
Internationality
IMS is truly international. Our students‘ families have their roots in 36 nations. The list of countries ranges from Angola to Vietnam. Our students learn about the great diversity of traditions, rites and festivals in their daily interactions and from the reports of their fellow students. The attractiveness of this environment draws families from all over Berlin and the surrounding area.
