Overview

The International Montessori School Berlin on the Montessori Campus at Wannsee offers 120 pupils the best conditions for starting school life. Our state-recognised primary school is located in the historic Landhaus Oppenheim, about 5 minutes from Wannsee station.

Decisive for our work are the experiences and principles of the Italian reform pedagogue Dr. Maria Montessori. Her methods and materials have been successfully used worldwide for over 100 years. A team of Montessori teachers with recognised training and rooms excellently equipped with Montessori materials support the students in their work.

We are international – and bilingual! Our pupils come from a wide variety of countries, many grow up in bilingual families. Our German- and English-speaking teachers communicate with the children according to the language bath method, the immersion principle. This also applies to our bilingual Montessori Kinderhaus am Wannsee right next door, which is part of the campus.

Our all-day primary school is open from 7:30 am to 6 pm. From 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the most, the children are taught in groups. The children choose from our wide range of extra-curricular activities. These include forest afternoons, sailing, instrument lessons and workshops.

Montessori Campus at Wannsee

In addition to the IMS, the Montessori Kinderhaus Wannsee is also located on the Montessori Campus at Wannsee. 30 children from the age of 3 grow up here bilingually (German-English).
